Residual-free feeding eliminates the decomposition of amino acids, because the system is rinsed with water after each feeding. In addition, residual-free feeding can save about 40% of the energy due to the fact that there is no need to collect the food from previous feeding back into the mixing tank and to use the energy to the secondary mix - all residues are washed with water.
