Hammermills offer a consistent uniform particle for better feed rations. Durable Design At the core of this time-tested hammermill are the 96 heat treated steel hammers for long wear life and uniform particle reduction. Lower maintenance costs are an added benefit of the hammermill since each hammer can be turned four times, extending the mill’s productivity. Optimal hammer design and placement will provide maximum contact with the feed ingredient. The durable design of the drive bearings and shaft also help to keep maintenance costs down. A magnet installed in the mill’s grain entry throat collects tramp metal to insure longer life of the hammers and the screens.
