Our livestock electronical eartags contain HDX or FDX-B transponders (RFID-tags) which can be encoded with a 15-digit identification number. The reading performance of our eartags is an important criterium, power consumption control and frequency fine tuning are defined and checked for each individual eartag. The reading range is up to 1.2 m depending on the system used and given an optimal tag orientation. AUTAG electronic eartags can be read by all ISO-compliant readers. AUTAG electronic eartags are designed to be easily applied and to perform reliably even in harsh conditions. Different antenna manufacturing technlogies and connectivity technologies are explored to guarantee optimal performance in temperature ranges of -25 C to 50 C.
