Who we are
O’Donnell Engineering is a family run Irish company based from its privately owned factory in Emly, County Tipperary, Ireland
Founded in 1978 by William O’Donnell. Initially operating from a small scale garage the company has now expanded to a production facility of 150,000sq.feet. Within this facility O’Donnell Engineering are able to cater to any size project from the small farmer to the large consignments. With our fully automated bending , folding and cutting machines along with their full time welding areas in operation large quantities are produced while maintaining our high standards of finishing. O’Donnell Engineering has achieved compliance with the requirements of I.S. EN1090-1:2009+A1:2011 for CE marking of Structural Steel up to Execution Class 2 (EXC 2)This encompasses large workshops, storage and office space.
O’Donnell’s primary motivation was to supply progressive farmers in the locality with innovative products, which contributed to the efficient running of both farmyard and farm activity. The business has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the leaders in its industry sector. All products are produced with the user foremost in mind. Accordingly all products are manufactured to the highest standards and cost effective design. ODE is a recognised designer, producer and fabricator of a diversified range of over 250 labour saving devices and equipment for the agricultural sectors. Products include but are not limited to Self-locking cattle crushes, Suckling crates, Water troughs, Hoof pairing crates, Calf transporters, Calf pens, Portable crushes along with a vast variety of cubicles and feeding aids. All products are produced to a high spec finish from galvanised mild steel. The company has a successful record of development in products and manufacturing over their 40 years of operation.
O’Donnell Engineering caters to the international market with handling products currently being used in numerous countries outside of Ireland.
With well over 40 years’ experience in the Irish and international market, we will work with you to design the optimum layout and products to suit your new or existing farm building.
