Operation
At the start of the day the operator sets the control switch to ON and the onboard controller checks operating parameters. The operator adjusts the manual valve on the watering lance to set the required flow rate. At the end of the day the operator sets the control switch to OFF.

Technology
A solar panel charges a high-capacity buffer battery. Switching the start button to ON powers the pump. When the lance valve opens, the gear pump draws water and delivers it at a pressure of 2.5 bar. Pump power consumption varies automatically with the requested flow rate. A mains-powered battery charger is included and a smartphone app allows monitoring of battery charge level.
