The BCC Tray Washing Machine comprises two integrated sections: a high-pressure mechanical cleaning unit and a hot-water washer section for thermal disinfection. Together these sections remove substrate residues, mineral deposits and biological contaminants from reusable propagation trays.

Context and purpose
During containerised propagation and field planting, trays accumulate old growing substrate, root fragments, weed seeds, fungal pathogens, moss and algae. These contaminants affect nursery hygiene and increase the risk of disease spread. Thorough cleaning and sanitation of trays is an essential biosecurity measure to protect plant health and production performance.
