BEWI-SPRAY 99 Aqua is a vegetable fat powder designed for aquaculture feed. As a spray-cooled concentrate it delivers a strong crystallisation behaviour that reduces oil leakage from pellets and extrudates in water.

The challenge:
Energy-dense pellets and extrudates are widely used to support growth in aquaculture. During storage and feeding, oil or fat migrating out of these forms (leaking-out) reduces feed quality and handling performance. Liquid fats (poultry fat, fish oil, many vegetable fats) are often limited by this issue. Fats with higher melting points and pronounced crystallisation can reduce leakage.
