Description

Eretmocerus eremicus The parasitic wasp Eretmocerus eremicus is successfully applied with good results on a wide range of greenhouse vegetable and ornamental crops to control greenhouse whitefly and tobacco whitefly, especially where high temperatures can occur. E. eremicus is an ectoparasitoid, laying its eggs preferably under 2nd and early 3rd instar larvae. Parasitized larvae are easy to recognize by their yellow brown color. During her life, a female Eretmocerus eremicus parasitizes approximately 150 whitefly larvae. Host-feeding activity runs very high and it is more than an added value.
