DescriptionAmelanchier lamarckii is a deciduous shrub suited to hedging and small specimen trees. Leaves open coppery‑red, turn soft green in summer and develop red, orange and yellow tones in autumn. In spring the shrub is covered with white flowers about 2.5 cm (1 in) wide, followed by edible black berries. Plants of 120–150 cm (4–5 ft) commonly present a clear stem and can be trained as small trees.
