Product overviewWidely applicable to large, medium and small plots in plains, hills and mountainous areas, and for small arch-shed planting. Suitable crops include potatoes, peanuts, tobacco, cotton, soybeans, corn, watermelons and medicinal herbs.
FunctionThe tunnel mulch laying machine is designed to lay plastic mulch, nonwovens and nets over pre-built hoops to form protective tunnels. A fusiform preshaper forms the mulch into a tunnel roof. Wheel clamps secure mulch edges to the ground while a hydraulically driven harrow disc covers soil and clods to stabilize the mulch foot against wind.
Operation parametersWorking speed: 2–4 km/h depending on soil conditions. Labour: 1 operator supervises soil coverage.
Advantages- Low operating cost: towed by a high-clearance tractor (minimum 35 HP); no PTO, electrical supply or air compressor required.
- Versatile cover compatibility: plastic mulch, nonwovens, shading nets and anti-insect nets.
- Supports one-season and multi-season films: one-season from 0.011 mm; multi-season up to 0.030 mm.
- Covering speed examples: ~1.5 km/h with one-season film; >4 km/h with multi-season film or nets.
- Wind stability: soil embedment at mulch foot approx. 60–80 cm width and 60–80 cm depth using hydraulic harrow disc.
- Flexible integration: operable standalone or linked with hoop-building machines for combined tunnel construction.
- Optional soil preparation: disc cutter and soil pusher available to adapt soil for mulch foot.
