Overview The Vervaet Hydro Trike 3.0 is the third-generation self-propelled slurry applicator designed for high-capacity field operations. Major updates include a stronger drivetrain, doubled lifting capacity, new tyre configurations and an upgraded cab. Available as a 3-wheel 17 m³ or 5-wheel 22 m³ machine, each tank offers over 1 m³ more capacity than previous models.
Chassis / Modular concept The Hydro Trike 3.0 is built on a single modular platform. Engine bay, drive pumps and cab are common to both 3- and 5-wheel versions. Final assembly configures either the shorter 17 m³ chassis or the extended 22 m³ chassis with sliding/centre axle, reducing complexity and improving parts availability.
Engine & Transmission Driven by a Mercedes MTU 13L, 530 HP engine. Cooling capacity increased by 50% for reliable operation up to 50°C. New VSG 2.0 transmission provides up to 45% more traction in the 0–10 km/h range, raising torque from 100,000 Nm to 145,000 Nm for improved performance on slopes and with wider or heavier applicators.
Lifting unit & Axle Redesigned low-maintenance linkage removes the lifting yoke, cutting moving parts and maintenance. Lifting capacity increased to 10,000 kg. Driven centre axle includes wheel reduction hubs and axial piston motors, delivering roughly 30% more tractive effort versus the previous Hydro Trike.
Slurry system Fitted with a Börger pump (9,000 L/min or 13,500 L/min options) paired with the Vervaet Cyclone Cutter. Optional Vervaet Superfill turbo filler with bypass reduces filling time by up to 1.5 minutes. Suction diameter enlarged from 8 to 10 inches to improve filling at high application rates.
Cabin New Claas X11 cab offers increased space, better all-round visibility, improved sound insulation and an updated armrest and drive lever. CarPlay optional; refrigerator standard. Cab mounted on adjustable 4-point dampers for enhanced operator comfort.
Software & Controls Tablet-based user interface fully integrated with drive, linkage and slurry systems. Individual tyre pressure monitoring and control. Electronic linkage height control with configurable field and road modes; proportional lift speed and damping adjustments. Intelligent alarm system monitors hydraulics and warns early of contamination or slurry ingress.
Tyres & Soil Compaction Raised front fork allows larger front tyres while keeping overall height under 4 m. New rear tyre options (e.g., BKT 1020/55 R38, 1250/50 R32) can be fitted while meeting width targets; some configs stay below 3.00 m or 3.20 m overall width. Across configurations the contact area increases by about 30%, reducing soil compaction versus the previous model.
