It supports increased cow visits at the feed fence and therefore intake of dry matter, resulting in more milk production. F4800 is fitted with established technology which pushes the feed precisely up to the feeding fence, enabling the cows to reach it easily without having to stretch. Flexible placement of the parking and charging station The position and route of the fully automated feed pusher is calculated by means of transponder, a sensor technology, and a gyroscope, which are embedded in the floor of the barn without creating an obstacle. Smart drive function for reliable working The robust F4800 has a rotating stainless-steel drum, driven by a powerful electric motor with smart speed control. This means that large or uneven amounts of feed in front of the feed fence are not a problem. Fast and safe, even in large barns The F4800 is well-equipped to deal with the requirements of a large barn, too. Two motors with efficient hypoid gearboxes allow the pusher to be operated at two speed levels with 12 meters per minute or 6 meters per minute. Flexible time and route planning The F4800 software allows you to set specific time schedules and route plans in order to best meet your requirements and needs while feeding different cow groups. Obstacles are not a problem Unevenness, height differences or thresholds, with a lift function which can raise the skirt of the drum, the GEA DairyFeed F4800 is well equipped for all of these obstacles.
