In order to kill all bacteria and viruses from open ground before replanting, the soil can be disinfected using steam. The soil is covered using a special steam foil, under which steam is then injected. The heat now automatically disinfects the soil. Genap has specially developed the heat-resistant Vaporex® 2800 PVC foil for this, which is available in standard widths of: 2, 4, 6 and 8 m or multiples of a metre. Steam is often used for disinfection of soil for cultivation. In order to make optimal use of the steam, it is important to make sure that the steam can penetrate the soil as effectively as possible. For this purpose Genap supplies Vaporex® steaming sheets. Due to possible bulge forming and shrinkage of the sheet, it is important to order sheets 10% larger then the area which needs to be disinfected (or the roof length). Material Genap has developed the heat resistant Vaporex® 2800 PVC foil specially for steaming soil. Standard widths: 2, 4, 6 and 8 m or a multiple of 1 m.
