Description

The MD 18 is a hydro-static lawnmower with an 83 cm deck with dual cutting function, equipped with a 'Quick Shift' lever to switch directly from the driver's seat from mulching to side discharge. It is an ideal lawnmower for mowing lawns where an excellent finish is required, even on slopes. Its low ground clearance makes it ideal for undergrowth work. The seat is equipped with suspension to offer great comfort to the operator. The MD 18 is equipped with the Briggs & Stratton Professional 7180 OHV 656 cc twin-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 15.2 HP (18 HP Gross power). The single-blade cutting deck is made entirely of steel, the blade ends are floating shock-resistant with a special cutting edge profile that favors precise cutting in all grass conditions. The cutting height adjustment ranges from 2.5 to 8 cm and is made by means of a 6-position lever. The same lever has an additional transfer position that allows the entire cutting deck to be lifted off the ground, automatically stopping the rotation of the blades to easily overcome kerbs and obstacles. The tension of the deck belt is self-adjusting. The entire deck is kept parallel to the ground at all times, improving cutting quality even after years of use! The blades are engaged via an electric button located near the steering wheel that activates the PTO's electromagnetic clutch.
