The hotshock® AN490 electric fence can be operated either on 230 V mains power or on a 12V battery. Optionally, the device can also be operated with a solar panel. For optimal pulse control, the electric fence flashes in time with the pulse output. This allows you to recognize the activity of your device from a distance. The device also has a deep discharge cutoff that effectively conserves your battery. The fence insulation indicator "System Control" shows the insulation status of your pasture fence in 6 levels. If all 6 LEDs light up, the fence insulation is good and little energy is required. The lower the number of LEDs lit up, the more discharges there are such as overgrowth or poor grounding and the higher the energy consumption. With the convenient on/off switch on the electric fence unit, there is no longer a need to turn off the power by a fence switch or by pulling the plug. The 3-stage LED display "Energy Control" provides a quick check of the battery capacity and also shows you the activity of the electric fence unit by flashing in time with the pulse output. Due to the special power saving circuit, the power consumption of the electric fence device adapts to the fence, which ensures less energy consumption, less environmental impact and lower costs. The two fence outputs offer different output energies (full strength and more harmless energy limited to 1 J) for flexible operation of a large and / or a small pasture.
