OverviewOur innovative Agri PV solution is based on the globally successful L:TEC® tracker and is engineered to enable dual-use of land for solar generation and agriculture. The system centers on a patented locked drive technology and a decoupled drive transmission, with increased array height and configurable row spacing to meet agricultural needs. Agri PV is designed to meet and exceed DIN SPEC 91434 requirements for specialized planning, operation, documentation and operational monitoring, including consideration of light intensity and light distribution below the system.
Key product characteristics- Fully modular system derived from the L:TEC® 2P tracker platform
- Standard array height: 2.8 m (configurable to project requirements)
- Typical row spacing example: 11 m (adjustable to site requirements)
- Tracking range: up to 60°
- Unique 70° harvest mode to prevent interference with planting, harvesting, mowing and fertilization
- Designed for dual-use land (simultaneous agricultural production and solar generation)
Technology & performanceThe L:TEC® Agri PV uses a locking drive sprocket that, when locked, transfers loads from the tracker and panels directly to the tracker foundations for repeatable, reliable positioning. The decoupled drive reduces mechanical loading on the tracker structure. Combined with a tested stowing strategy (flat stow and other modes), the platform reduces system stresses significantly under high-wind conditions (tests indicate up to 50% reduction in system stresses in winds up to 205 kph). The platform is wind-tunnel and field tested for durability and longevity.
Software & controlThe solution is supported by IDEEMATEC’s software suite: planning and control tools automate design and operation. ID-Aurora™ provides agricultural-specific operating modes and uses weather sensors, site location, altitude and tracker position sensors to move trackers automatically into safe and efficient positions; it also provides automated alerts and warnings. Project planning software (ID-Simulator / ID-TERRAIN 3D and related tools) streamlines project design and optimization for Agri PV sites.
Applications & adaptabilityAgri PV adapts to terrain, foundations and module layouts to maximize ground coverage and to accommodate agricultural operations. The system supports all standard module types and layouts used in modern agrivoltaics and utility-scale projects.
