Cab suspension
The W170 features a four-point independent suspension using four coil-spring shock absorbers with fore-aft and side-to-side stabilizers to reduce cab roll. Shocks located at each corner allow the entire cab to move vertically from its resting position, delivering improved ride feel during field operations.

Visibility and exterior lighting
The forward and elevated cab position, combined with a wide-front glass, gives the operator clear sightlines across wide platforms. Robust exterior lighting options support effective day and night operation.

Optional reverser
An operator-activated reverser is available to clear plugs on platforms. On D1500 Draper Platforms the reverser slowly reverses the knife drive and the optional hay conditioner (if fitted) to remove obstructions and maintain productivity.

Quick-attach platforms and platform management
Quick-attach compatibility makes attaching and detaching platforms straightforward for fast changeover between hay and grain work and for narrow draper transport. A centralized hose management system groups two hydraulic and one electrical connection in a single location. Connections are compatible with D400 Series draper heads and 100A Series auger heads.

• Optional hydraulic self-alignment center link enables easier attach/detach and is controllable from the cab.
• Pin-on lower lift arms allow quick changeover between draper and auger platforms and transition to narrow transport.
• Adjustable springs and a float-fine adjust (standard) permit on-the-go platform float changes with three memory positions for settings.

Narrow draper transport and ballast
Wider draper platforms can be transported using a ballast box and the D1500 integrated transport system. The ballast box shifts weight to drive tires for improved traction and provides a hitch for towing the D1500 Platform. A wiring harness and hitch pin kit are required for a seven-pin lighting connector on the ballast box.

Precision guidance and AutoTrac
The W170 is AutoTrac Universal 300 (ATU 300) compatible for improved line acquisition and automated steering. The ATU 300 kit can be factory-ordered to make the unit AutoTrac ready. The machine supports StarFire receivers (including StarFire 7500 variants) and can pair with a cornerpost-mounted G5 Universal display for integrated precision-ag monitoring.
