Full‑width feeding pickup
The pickup teeth and narrow, flanged strippers extend to the flare on both sides to provide full usable pickup width for wide windrows. Closely spaced pickup teeth gather all crop in wide, heavy windrows while narrow-channel strippers preserve leaves and short material for higher quality bales. The pickup measures 188 cm (74 in.) on the flare and is offset 25.4 cm (10 in.) to the right of the bale case. Belt drives reduce downtime and eliminate the need for slip clutches.

Adjustable hay compressor
The compressor mounts to and floats with the pickup, maintaining a constant relationship to pickup teeth across operating heights. It controls crop flow to the auger and is adjustable to nine positions to handle heavy or fluffy windrows. Removal is simple via two spring pins for auger or feed-opening access.

Deep-flighted auger feeding
The deep-flighted auger moves crop from the pickup into the pre-compression chamber to increase overall capacity and reduce leaf loss. The free-floating auger raises or lowers to match incoming crop. Its tapered housing and feeder forks fold each charge uniformly into the bale case. The auger system has few moving parts for reduced wear and maintenance.

Accurate knotters
Knotters are gear- and shaft-driven for dependable timing. Needle and knotter timing are easy to adjust. The tucker finger holds twine over the billhooks during tying to reduce twine damage. The twine knife is removable for sharpening. Additional features include adjustable twine disk timing, adjustable wiper arm edge, ball-joint pull links, coil-type tension spring on the twine holder, large-diameter needle-lift shaft, and a split-design knotter frame for easy removal.

Hydraulic bale tension (available)
Hydraulic bale tension allows simple adjustment of bale density to match crop and desired bale weight. Cylinders replace springs to apply constant, uniform pressure; tension is user-adjustable with one control. Increased tension raises bale weight.

Uniform bales
Crop is uniformly distributed into the bale case to produce consistent, stackable bales. Feeder forks adjust to five positions and are spring loaded for protection; they are timed independently of the knotters.

Quiet, dependable operation
The plunger head runs on three precision roller bearings in high-load areas to minimize noise and wear. Compression occurs on the downstroke to reduce plunger-head impact. The pitman is offset to the knife side to minimize wear; accessible lubrication fittings simplify maintenance. A safety stop prevents plunger-head damage.
