The calf hutch is designed for individual housing of calves up to the age of 45-60 days.
The set comes standard with the following equipment:
- Polymeric hutch (1450x1200x1300mm);
- Polymeric fence for the pen area (1475x1270x1000 mm);
- Teat bucket (7 l);
- Water bucket (8 l);
- Grain feeder;
- Curtains (made of elastic material).
The hutch is made of polyethylene resistant to UV, atmospheric precipitation and ammonia. Operating temperature range is from +60 to -50°C. The hutch and the fence are easy to clean and disinfect.
Housing of newborn calves outdoors in our individual hutches provides:
- healthy conditions for calf development such as clean air, natural sunlight, which helps the calf's body to produce vitamin D and is a natural sterilizer; reduction of ammonia, water vapor and dust concentrations to a minimum;
- isolation from sources of infections (carefully designed side parts of the fence allow no contact between animals);
- immunity improvement, reduction of calf morbidity and mortality;
- enough room for moving (no risk of hypodynamia);
- individual monitoring and care of a calf;
- possibility of keeping the optimal feeding schedule depending on the individual development of a calf;
- cost- and labor-saving way of the young cattle rearing.
