Description

Overview
KRONUS is a certified manufacturer of new wooden euro pallets (EPAL). EPAL standard pallets must display IPPC marking data, EPAL marking, country code, heat treatment information, license number, year and month. EPAL pallets are a standard solution for storage and transportation, recognised internationally for exchangeability and consistent specifications.

EPAL Europallet (standard)
The EPAL Europallet is the most widely used wooden pallet in Europe. Approximately 650 million units circulate globally. Typical technical parameters:
  • 11 boards
  • 78 nails
  • 9 blocks
  • Size 800x1200x144 mm
  • Weight ~25 kg

EPAL 3 Pallet
EPAL 3 is produced for markets requiring 1000x1200 mm format, facilitating domestic and international transport. Typical technical parameters:
  • 13 boards
  • 84 nails
  • 9 blocks
  • Size 1000x1200x144 mm
  • Weight ~30 kg

Advantages of using EPAL pallets
EPAL pallets provide a standardised, exchangeable packaging unit for logistics chains. Key benefits include:
  • Globally accepted — part of international exchange pools and recognised across borders
  • Consistent specifications — uniform construction and repair rules defined by EPAL
  • Sustainable option — designed for repair and repeated use, compliant with EU phytosanitary rules
  • Retained value — good secondary-market liquidity when maintained
  • Correct marking — EPAL and IPPC stamps ensure traceability and prevent use of non-standard pallets

Worldwide usage and logistics benefits
EPAL pallets simplify cross-border logistics, assist customs clearance, protect cargo during transport and optimise warehouse operations. Both new and properly repaired used pallets meet requirements for international transport and circulation.
