OverviewLow disease, high dry matter - the SMART choice for feeding.
- The first generation of SMART fodder beet compatible with CONVISO® ONE for effective weed control
- Very low susceptibility to disease
- Very good dry matter yield
StrengthsSMART JOSINA is a red rooted dual purpose beet variety with good disease resistance and a high DM%. Bringing high yields, SMART JOSINA is probably best suited to grazing with mixed-aged dairy cattle and older beef animals. It might not be as suitable for young stock or sheep. To get the best from SMART JOSINA KWS for grazing, it’s worth reducing the seed rate (80 - 90,000 seeds/ha) to allow a reduced plant population which will encourage larger bulbs that will sit higher out of the ground. The most widely grown CONVISO® SMART fodder beet in the world! In New Zealand and Argentina SMART JOSINA KWS is solely grazed. Its DMC is 18.8-19.8%.
