Cylinder MC00095 series

The step bore master cylinder consists of two pistons which work in sequence. At the beginning of the braking, at low pressure (up to 8-10 bar), the bigger diameter piston is working. It must ensure the supply of a minimum volume of brake fluid to the system. Subsequently, by operating of an internal valve, the pressure is controlled by the smaller piston, so that a high pressure can be obtained without excessive effort on the pedal. For the above reasons, these master cylinders do not supply a constant volume of fluid, but it depends by the of braking system characteristic, inner brake gaps, actuation speed, etc.
