Ground speed sensor OptoSpeed

OptoSpeed is a new optical movement detector for contactless measurement of low speed and distance travelled. Speed range is from 0.01 up to 20 km/h. Applications are manifold e.g. industrial indoor on fork lifts, driverless transportation vehicles/machines/AGVs. OptoSpeed provides for the speed signal in XY direction, meaning in mounting direction forward and perpendicular sideways movement. Scope of applications - A new solution for contactless true ground speed measurement and movement detection at low speed from 0.01 up to 20 km/h. - Precise noncontact measurement of true speed over ground in X and Y direction. - Independent on traction (wheel, tire, track) slip & slide, effective tire circumference and sinking in of tires/tracks. - High dynamics and data rate for monitoring, control and closed loop control industrial automation applications. - Simple mounting in parallel to the surface being measured. - Linear correlation between mounting height to the surface and speed output. - True speed over ground for slip, slide and traction closed-loop control applications. - True speed over ground for effective breaking improvement.
