Scentsation Honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum 'Scentsation' PPAF) is hands down the most fragrant honeysuckle vine you will ever grow. The name really says it all. It is truly scentsational! This hardy vine gets its great scent not from just the single flowers, but from the sheer amount of flowers it produces. The beautiful yellow trumpet clusters just keep blooming on this vine in waves all summer and into the fall. Each flower has its own individually strong aroma, but together it’s like a perfume store exploded in your garden. The flowers are butter yellow and super showy. Bees, butterflies and hummingbirds fall over themselves to get to this great vine. Scentsation was originally bred in Herefordshire, England and is hardy to -20 to -30 degrees Fahrenheit! It thrives in full sun, but does well in light shade, too, especially in the hottest areas of zones 4-9. This eager vine reaches 10 foot high without a second thought and easily stretches 5 feet wide. Make sure you give this big boy plenty of room to stretch out!
