OverviewOlimac Drago2 is a corn header engineered for total harvesting with minimal kernel and ear losses. It integrates automatic self-adjusting deck plates, extended stalk rollers and an optional rotary-blade stalk chopper. Available in configurations from 4 to 24 rows, fixed or foldable, it can be adapted to most combine harvesters and self-propelled shredders.
Key advantages- Automatic self-adjusting deck plates: independent continuous adjustment per row eliminates manual settings and reduces losses.
- Longer stalk rollers: lower peripheral speed for gentler ear separation and improved stalk pressing to minimize kernel loss.
- Optional rotary-blade stalk chopper: low power requirement; chops stalks to leave the field plough-ready.
- Low-profile design and reduced working angle (~18°): better penetration for lodged corn and reduced ear bounce.
- Foldable from the operator platform: reduced transport width (approx. 3–3.20 m) while maintaining visibility.
- Universal mounting: compatible with most combine harvester brands and self-propelled shredders.
Transmissions and protection- Three transmission options: A) internal transmission with oil-drop lubrication; B) oil-bathed external transmission with intermediate joint allowing folding without removing the driveshaft; C) oil-bathed external transmission optimized for hilly terrain.
- Each row uses oil-bathed mechanical gearboxes and hardened steel bevel gear sets.
- Slip clutch protection on each row-group to safeguard transmission components.
Construction and components- Reinforced steel gathering chains with hard-chrome pins and spring self-tensioning to absorb mechanical stress.
- Knife-type stalk rollers with interchangeable tungsten-carbide blades for durable cutting performance.
- Full-length weed/knife guards to prevent wrapping and blockages.
- Low-profile frame and accessible layout: rapid quick-release mechanisms grant fast access to transmission elements without tools for maintenance operations.
Options and accessories- Built-in rotary-blade stalk chopper (optional).
- Ear stopping rubbers for uneven ground or variable crop heights.
- Stalk pressing kit for combine tyre protection.
- Sensor kit for automatic bar leveling.
- Light bar for road transport.
- Sunflower kit: anti-fall grid and stalk-cutting rotor.
- Directional change gearbox and stalk conveyor on the chopping device.
