Description

Overview
The Moritz Fr70/75 is a second-generation remote-controlled tracked mini felling tractor designed for forestry operations, forwarding and as a multipurpose off‑road implement carrier. The concept combines proven tracked-felling elements with powerful multipurpose carrier features and includes major technical upgrades: new Deutz 4‑cylinder engines, advanced hydraulics and full radio remote-control functionality.

Key benefits & applications
  • Designed for sustainable reforestation: site preparation for sowing/planting, planting and young-stand maintenance.
  • Multipurpose carrier: quick-change cable winch system and front/rear 3‑point hitch (Cat. 1) for mounted implements.
  • Suitable for felling, forwarding, mulching, planting, sowing-strip milling and general off‑road maintenance on slopes and sensitive soils.

Technical highlights (summary)
  • Deutz 4‑cylinder diesel engines (Fr70 and Fr75 variants).
  • High ground clearance: 320 mm for travel over roots and stumps.
  • Low ground pressure: approx. 0.28–0.33 kg/cm² to protect substrate on wet ground.
  • Hydraulically variable running gear width (expandable by ~400 mm) with options for 250 mm or 300 mm track widths; running gear length 1,650 mm.
  • Separate hydraulic circuits for driving, on‑board functions and high‑performance power hydraulics.
  • Full vehicle and winch control via ergonomic radio remote control (engine start/stop, speed ranges, winch, PTO, lights, etc.).

Attachments / Implements (examples)
  • MAX forestry cutter / MAX forestry mulcher (approx. 1,200 mm working width; various tool and flap options).
  • Sowing-strip mulcher / sowing-strip cutter driven mechanically by PTO, milling depth up to 200–250 mm depending on specification.
  • Forestry mulchers in multiple widths and tool types, with hydraulic flap options.
  • Planter (Plantomat) with 50‑plant magazine and radio control; automated planting sequence with milling wheel and planting spade.
  • Stump grinder (hydraulic supports, swivel ±45°, working depth up to ~620 mm, wheel Ø ~600 mm, carbide chisels).
  • Auxiliary front cable winch (10 kN) and hydraulically driven traction winch for steep terrain operations.
  • Personal protection screen for safer felling operations.

Operational features
  • Ergonomic radio remote: emergency stop, engine throttle, drive & steering (two speed ranges), reversible fan control, drift compensation for slope work, winch control, shield control, width adjustment, PTO on/off, auxiliary valves, horn and lighting.
  • Proportional drive with two speed stages (0–3 km/h and 0–6 km/h) and gradual final speed preselection.
  • CLEANFIX reversible fan (standard) for high cooling performance and automatic cleaning.

Technical characteristics / specifications
  • Models: Moritz Fr70 and Moritz Fr75.
  • Engine (Fr70): Deutz TD2.9L4 diesel, ~36 kW (50 hp), 4‑cylinder, water‑cooled, turbocharged; Fr75: Deutz TD2.9L4 ~55 kW (75 hp). 45‑litre fuel tank.
  • High‑torque engines (max. ~260 Nm) with Common Rail injection and cooled external EGR on higher specifications.
  • Driving hydraulics: closed, proportional dual‑circuit system; speed stages 0–3 / 0–6 km/h; gradual final speed preselection; drift setting; automatically hydraulically tensioned dual guide wheels.
  • Driving hydraulics (power indication in high‑spec): 2 x 11 kW.
  • On‑board hydraulics: separate circuit with pump 18 l/min at 200 bar; up to 6 dual‑action control units available.
  • Performance hydraulics: closed circuit axial‑piston variable pump; pump output up to 48 kW; adjustable flow 0–96 l/min; max. pressure 300 bar; multicoupler (A+B+leak oil, 12 V) available.
  • Running gear: rubber track AS design standard 250 mm × 1,650 mm; optional 300 mm width; hydraulically adjustable width (expandable ~400 mm).
  • Chassis: torsion‑resistant box frame of special steel; lockable storage integrated in running gear; steel underbody protection; branch deflectors and hood protector.
  • Dimensions: length 2,300 mm; width 1,150 mm (narrow) / 1,550 mm (wide); height 1,350 mm. Weight: Fr70 ≈ 1,400 kg; Fr75 ≈ 1,450 kg (base machine).
  • Ground clearance: 320 mm. Ground pressure: approx. 0.28–0.33 kg/cm² depending on configuration.
  • PTO: oil‑cooled multi‑plate clutch in oil bath; PTO speeds approx. 540 and 2,100 rpm. Mechanical PTO option for mechanically driven implements.
  • Cable winch options: hydraulic winch units 50 kN / 60 kN / 72 kN with cable capacities up to 110 m × 11 mm (72 kN: 90 m × 12 mm); optional cable feed brake, swivel pulley and quick‑change aids.
  • Stacking shield: integrated winch mounting, hydraulically height‑adjustable, pressing function; lifting capacity at leveller ~14 kN; shield width ~1,100 mm.
  • Storage: large lockable storage box, holders for chainsaw, fuel canisters and lashings.
  • Safety & lighting: front/rear work lights; foldable rollover bars with optional lighting controlled via radio; personal protection screen option.
  • Accessories (selection): MAX forestry cutter/mulcher, planter Plantomat, stump grinder, auxiliary winch (10 kN), traction winch, sowing module, stonecrusher/compactor (MAXpro), transport frame and many configuration options.
