Our gentle, electrified Remora saves the environment significant carbon emissions. With an average use of 2800 kw/h renewable power per year, CO2 emissions are reduced by 22 to 30 tonnes per cage per year compared to high-pressure washing. Replace need for anti-fouling The vast majority of mitigation strategies for net cleaning rely on anti-fouling coatings such as copper and reactive removal of biofouling. Unfortunately, these approaches are costly and of limited efficacy and pose risks to the local environment, contributing to increased stress levels and fish mortality during grow-out at sea.
