Description

Overview
Cassius is a globe-shaped table beet hybrid characterized by a smooth, dark-red exterior and an intense deep-red interior. It combines uniform maturity, high yield potential, a refined taproot and shoulders, and medium soluble solids (Brix). Medium tops and clean foliage make Cassius well suited for the bunch market as well as fresh and processing uses. This variety provides a broad disease resistance package and is widely adaptable to continental, temperate, sub-tropical and Mediterranean climates.
