Overview
Gable-roof hangars have virtually no space limitation and present a classic appearance. They are used in industrial construction and public-utility structures. Roof coverings can be made from PVC tarpaulin, sheet metal or composite panels of appropriate thickness. A correctly pitched gable roof ensures uniform runoff of rain and snow from both slopes. Choosing a gable roof can reduce the area of side wall cladding and save materials. Gable-roof hangars are practical where architectural conditions prevent the use of arched tents. Skavska Hale manufactures orders for various types of gable-roof hangars; typical uses include production halls, warehouses and agricultural hangars.

Applications

• Agricultural hangars: lightweight structures serving as garages for farm machinery, livestock halls and grain storage; an alternative to arched tents when those are not suitable.
• Warehouses: adaptable for livestock installations (stalls, pig houses, poultry houses), cold storage and freezing rooms, food reserves, produce sorting halls or machinery garages.
• Industrial halls: suitable as warehouses, production halls, aviation hangars, silo covers and waste storage buildings.

Installation — client responsibilities

• Site preparatory works: ground leveling, dewatering and verification of soil bearing capacity.
• Foundation preparation: shallow foundation.
• For year-round use: plan for a fixed foundation.
• For seasonal use: provide anchors, foundation bolts or concrete blocks to ensure stable support.

• Assembly of the main supporting structure, composed of roof framework and profiles.
• Installation of a hangar covering in PVC tarpaulin, taking into account thermal and acoustic insulation requirements, ensuring appropriate ventilation and temperature control for sensitive uses.
• Installation of metal sheets on the hangar sides.
• Finishing works: installation of gates, doors and internal elements required for the structure to fulfil its function.
