Usage tips and best practicesWhen using round bale net, prepare the machine correctly to achieve optimal results. Common issues (tearing, tangling, laddering) often come from dirty contact surfaces, rough metal areas, misaligned or damaged feed rollers, or incorrect net threading. Check and clean surfaces in contact with the net, polish rusty or painted areas, ensure feed rollers are aligned and have correct tension, use chalk powder or talc to reduce dust on rubber rollers, and avoid aggressive cleaning agents. Also inspect the knife or cutting surface to ensure clean, consistent cuts.
Why choose netting?Using netting for round bales brings several advantages over twine: reduced binding time (approx. 15 s vs ~60 s), higher hourly output, better crop protection, improved bale shape retention, reduced machine wear, more bales per roll and overall time and cost savings in operation.
