Description
Function: TERRAL chopper rollers are agricultural machines designed to produce mulch from cover crops in vineyards. They conserve soil moisture, contribute to carbon storage and reduce fuel consumption during inter-row maintenance.

Use: Recommended from April (before first treatments) until harvest. Optimal performance on well-developed cover crops (recommended height ≥ 50 cm). Suitable for all soil types and vineyard layouts.

How it works: Large open-work rollers ensure optimized ground contact and prevent debris build-up. Inclined, staggered anti-abrasion steel blades (10 mm) limit vibration and produce a controlled rippling action for consistent chopping. Interchangeable blades extend service life. Roller Ø510 mm provides stable contact and effective mulching.

Hitch & compatibility: Fitted with standardized 3-point hitches compatible with CAT1 and CAT2; can be mounted front or rear on the tractor. Can be combined with a TERRAL trimmer frame for integrated operations.

Feed rate: 10–15 km/h depending on cover crop density.
