Tong’s heavy duty 160° bag and box tipper is one of the most popular potato and vegetable box tippers within Tong’s tipping range, and can be specified for complete and efficient emptying of boxes, big bags or both. Available in a choice of 3 models; box, big bag or box and bag, the 160° box tipper features the latest heavy duty tipping mechanism design, with enhanced linkage strength. Its advanced design allows boxes to be tipped through a wider arc of up to 160°, which ensures boxes are emptied fully, while also requiring less energy to operate. The advanced box tipping mechanism design also puts less strain on bearings and linkages, resulting a reliably strong and robust mechanism, with minimal servicing and maintenance requirements. Like all Tong tippers, the 160° box tipper is designed to meet stringent safety standards,featuring a box movement siren and empty beacon, as well as light guards, which meet the full requirements of EC legislation. The fully automated machine can handle boxes up to two tonnes, or can be custom built to effectively tip and empty 1.25 tonne jumbo bags. When combined with a second tipper and either forward or cross conveyor, the Tong’s 160° tipper is capable of emptying over 50 tonnes of crop per hour.
