Simple and robust construction
The UM6150 elevator digger is a robustly built potato harvesting machine that can be used under almost all harvesting conditions.
It is three-point mounted and driven via the PTO shaft.
The pickup chain consists of a steel hook chain, which can also be supplied with rubber-coated rods.
Gentle handling
When properly adjusted, the elevator digger ensures gentle handling of your potato harvest. Important factors to consider for minimal damage are the PTO speed, driving speed, and the angle of the pickup elevator. The adjustment of the elevator is controlled by the length of the tractor's top link.
Easy maintenance
Typical wear parts of the machine are the shares, toothed belt pulleys, rollers, and the pickup chain. All these parts are easy to replace.
Capacity
For harvesting table potatoes and other potatoes where it is important to minimize damage, a driving speed of 2-3.5 km/h is recommended. This corresponds to a capacity of 0.1-0.25 hectares per hour. For industrial potatoes, where the damage factor is less relevant, the speed can be significantly increased.
Lifting before the collectors
At the rear of the digger, behind the pickup chain, a side grid delivers the potatoes to the side of the machine, far enough from the next furrow to prevent the tractor wheels from rolling over them when lifting the next furrow. With this machine, it is possible to dig as much of the field as desired – regardless of the collectors. In wet soil conditions, it may be desirable to let the potatoes rest on the ground for a while to dry out a bit. Pre-digging before the collectors speeds up the collection process.
