Launched in 2017, Valon Kone’s NEW model VK100 is a debarker designed for larger logs. Over 25 years’ experience gathered from the VK90 and VK110 machines has been brought together in a completely new design, which is far more robust, easier to use and safer in its operation. Debarking rotor The VK100 has a vertically sliding rotor with a diameter of 100cm, which is positioned according to the diameter of the log. The positioning cylinders for the hydraulic movement of the rotor are controlled using Temposonic sensors. Redesigned tool arms, which makes them easier to open and reduce damage to the front of the log are installed on the infeed side of the rotor. These tool arms (3 or 6 pieces) are hydraulically operated and pressure is fully adjustable. Tool arm design using high quality materials and modern production methods, ensure the durability of the VK tool arms in any conditions. The tungsten carbide tool tips that carry out the debarking are fastened to the tool arms with 2 bolts, which makes it quick and easy to replace them. We have various tools tips which can adapt to difference wood species and debarking conditions.
