Rumicool™ is a specially designed product which protects dairy cows against heat stress.
It contributes towards conserving milk production during times of extreme heat as well as maintaining stable fat and protein levels in the milk. It also helps reduce cases of feed induced diarrhoea.

Rumicool™ contains selected feed additives such as:

• Betaine - Acts on the cow’s metabolism ensuring a faster recovery from heat stress. Due to its properties as a methyl donor, it conserves methionine and increases the available substrates responsible for protein production.

• Niacin - Experimentally proven to reduce ketosis. Additionally, it helps increase the milk’s percentage of protein content. Finally, Niacin also improves blood flow, a property which helps relieve heat stress during hot periods.

• Vitamin E & Organic Selenium – act as anti-oxidants and boost the immune system.

• Essential oils - modify the rumen environment and boost digestion and metabolism of the essential nutrients in feed.

• Buffer Solutions which act in the rumen and help prevent the decrease of pH thus preventing ruminal acidosis.

• Calcium Propionate - stimulates milk production and protects the feed by inhibiting mould production.
