DESCRIPTION
In poultry production, a large part of each flock's result depends on the drinking water. It carries what the birds need from day one, and the biofilm that forms in the drinker lines affects water quality throughout the cycle. At the same time, parasite pressure and the balance of the gut flora determine intake, flock uniformity and feed conversion.
Vitaid Aves is AMBiotec's phytobiotic solution for poultry of all categories: a liquid premixture of natural plant extracts (essential oils) and natural vitamin E, dosed in the drinking water. It is the poultry version of the Vitaid line and is used in broilers, laying hens and breeders, and also on quail and partridge farms.
Its action is based on the balance of the digestive microbiota: it favours the growth of beneficial flora over undesirable flora, helps to protect the intestinal mucosa and reduce its permeability, and supports the bird's natural defences. The label also includes a specific programme for the water system before the chicks arrive.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE FARM

• Parasite pressure: nutritional support on farms with coccidia, cryptosporidia, nematode and cestode loads; it fits into the farm's parasite control programme without replacing it.
• Gut microbiota: stimulates the growth of beneficial microbiota and reduces the effects of toxins from undesirable bacteria such as clostridia.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

• Administration: orally, via the drinking water. Water-soluble product.
• Label dose: 100 ml per 1,000 litres of drinking water.
• Water system before chick placement: 400 ml per 1,000 litres of water; leave for one day and then drain the system.
• Broilers (indicative programme from the brochure): 300 ml per 1,000 litres during the first 15 days and 100 ml per 1,000 litres for the rest of the cycle.
• Laying hens (indicative programme): rearing and pullet rearing, 100 ml per 1,000 litres; laying period, 50 ml per 1,000 litres.
• Breeders (indicative programme): 100 ml per 1,000 litres during the laying period.
• Quail, partridges and other poultry (indicative programme): 50 ml per 1,000 litres.

Field example: a 1,000-litre header tank takes 300 ml of Vitaid Aves during the first 15 days of a broiler flock and 100 ml from day 16 onwards.
Practical points: dose with the proportional dosing pump or in the header tank, calculating the amount from the volume of water; apply the water-system programme during the cleaning and disinfection break, before the chicks arrive; and keep the container tightly closed between uses.
COMPOSITION AND ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS

• Composition: carrier: monopropylene glycol 25 % and sanitised water 18.92 %.
• Additives (per kg): technological additives: carrier glyceryl polyethyleneglycol ricinoleate (E484) 34 %; mixture of flavouring substances 201,080 mg. Nutritional additives: RRR-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (3a700) 29,500 IU.
• Analytical constituents: dry matter 29 %, crude protein below 1 %, crude fibre below 1 %, crude oils and fats 10 %, crude ash below 4.5 %, calcium below 0.1 %, phosphorus below 0.1 %, sodium 0.03 %, lysine below 0.1 %, methionine below 0.1 %.
• Physico-chemical properties: yellow liquid with a characteristic odour; water-soluble.
• How the formula works: the essential oil blend is the phytobiotic fraction; the E484 emulsifier and monopropylene glycol keep it dispersed in the drinking water, and natural vitamin E completes the formula.
