Description

DESCRIPTION
In poultry farming, the first weeks of a broiler's life, pullet rearing and peak production periods place the greatest demands on the digestive system. On top of the parasite pressure in the poultry house there is often a mycotoxin load in the feed cereals that cannot be seen but takes its toll on feed intake, defences and flock uniformity.
Micoxcocci Poultry is the mineral complementary feed of AMBiotec's Mic-Ox line for poultry of all categories. It combines a mixture of plant-derived flavouring substances (essential oils), prebiotics (β-glucans and mannan-oligosaccharides) and two clays, bentonite and sepiolite, which act as mycotoxin binders and adsorbents. It is added to the feed at the feed mill. It is the product in the range that brings together, in a single supplement, support against parasite pressure and management of mycotoxin risk in poultry farming.
Its action rests on three fronts: the balance of the digestive microbiota, the protection of the intestinal mucosa by reducing its permeability, and the adsorption of bacterial toxins and mycotoxins in the digestive tract before they are absorbed.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE FARM
  • Parasite pressure: nutritional support in poultry houses with coccidia, cryptosporidia and nematode challenge. It fits into the farm's control programme without replacing it.
  • Mycotoxins and bacterial toxins: acts as a binder and adsorbent of mycotoxins and of toxins from undesirable bacteria such as clostridia, and controls the toxic effects of the 6 most pathogenic mycotoxins.
  • Mucosa and defences: stimulates the beneficial microbiota, protects the intestinal mucosa by reducing its permeability and strengthens the defences of the immune system.
  • Performance: better use of nutrients and, thanks to its antioxidant activity, helps to improve meat shelf life.
  • Easy handling: added to the feed, with no withdrawal period before slaughter.
TARGET SPECIES AND PRODUCTION STAGES
  • Broilers: from the start to the end of the fattening period.
  • Laying hens and breeders: production feed.
  • Pullet rearing.
  • Turkeys and turkey breeder hens.
  • Quails and breeder quails.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
  • Administration: orally, via the feed.
  • Label dose: 1 kg per tonne of feed.
  • Broilers, first two weeks (0-14 days): 1.5 kg/t of feed.
  • Turkeys and quails, first two weeks (indicative guideline): 1.5 kg/t; thereafter, 1 kg/t.
  • Laying hens (indicative guideline): 1 kg/t of production feed for 15 days per month.
  • Breeder hens, pullets in rearing, turkey breeder hens and breeder quails: 1 kg/t.
Field example: a 10-tonne batch of broiler starter feed takes 15 kg of Micoxcocci Poultry; a 20-tonne batch of grower feed, 20 kg.
Practical points: pre-blend the product with a small part of the feed before adding it to the mixer; respect the mixing time; and wear respiratory protection, goggles and gloves when handling the powder.
COMPOSITION AND ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS
  • Composition: calcium carbonate, β-glucans and mannan-oligosaccharides, dextrose, carob powder, whey permeate, magnesium carbonate and monopropylene glycol.
  • Additives (per kg): mixture of flavouring substances 179,080 mg. Technological additives: bentonite (1m558) 167,200 mg; sepiolite (E562) 140,800 mg; silicic acid 6,380 mg. Nutritional additives: betaine HCl (3a925) 33,440 mg; RRR-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (3a700) 286 mg.
  • Analytical constituents: crude protein 5.8 %, crude fibre 2.7 %, crude fat 0.1 %, crude ash 48 %, calcium 9.9 %, phosphorus 0.1 %, sodium 0.17 %, magnesium 2.0 %, lysine below 0.1 %, methionine below 0.1 %.
  • Physico-chemical properties: solid powder of characteristic colour and odour; density 0.7 ± 0.1 g/ml.
  • How the formula works: the aromatic fraction provides the phytobiotic action, the prebiotics support the microbiota, and bentonite and sepiolite are what bind the toxins.
SAFETY AND COMPATIBILITY
  • Natural origin: ingredients of natural origin, with no known side effects, that do not generate resistance.
  • No withdrawal period: no withdrawal period is needed before slaughter.
  • Label contraindications: do not use simultaneously with macrolides; in poultry, do not use simultaneously with robenidine; simultaneous use with coccidiostats is contraindicated if 5 kg/t of bentonite in the complete feed is exceeded.
  • Handling: wear respiratory protection, goggles and gloves.
  • Veterinary judgement: Micoxcocci Poultry is a complementary feed and does not replace the diagnosis or judgement of the veterinarian responsible for the farm.
LOGISTICS
  • Format: 25 kg bag.
  • Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture.
  • Storage: keep the container tightly closed, in a cool (not above 25 °C), dry place, away from heat sources and sunlight.
REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
  • Category: mineral complementary feed for poultry of all categories.
  • Registration number: ESP45000371.
