Summary
DIRECTO NO is a no-till seed drill designed for direct seeding into stubble, catch crops, tilled or untilled soil. Its DIRECT STAR single-disc seeding coulter ensures reliable seed placement even in heavy residues or very dry conditions. Up to three seed materials can be drilled in one pass; fertiliser placement is possible simultaneously.

DIRECT STAR seeding coulter
The patented DIRECT STAR single-disc coulter operates effectively in stubble, catch crops and tilled soils. Row spacing is 16.7 cm with 33.4 cm distance between coulters in the same row. High downforce of 300 kg per coulter secures consistent seed placement. Minimum seeding depth is 2 cm.

Fertiliser placement and yield potential
The fertiliser coulter places fertiliser slightly to the side and deeper than the seed, creating a nutrient zone that promotes root development and reduces drought stress. Zoned application supports crop establishment and improves overwintering.

High variability of seeding options

• Seed with fertiliser delivered through the seed coulters (seed & fertiliser) — two seed types possible at 16.7 cm row spacing.
• Seed with fertiliser every second row (seed & fertiliser) — two seed types every second row at 33.4 cm spacing.
• Seed and fertiliser placed separately — seed in seed coulters, fertiliser in dedicated fertiliser coulters.

Closing wheel
Two closing wheel types available — notched or smooth. Robust frame maintains straight tracking. Closing wheel downforce is mechanically adjustable per coulter by a tensioned spring; angular position is adjustable.

ALFA seeder
With the optional ALFA seeder up to three seed types or microgranulate can be applied in a single pass. ALFA 400 has a 400 L hopper. Material can be routed to seeding coulters, fertiliser coulters or mixed 50:50.

Pressurised hopper design
Double-chamber pressurised hopper with 5,000 L total capacity ensures accurate metering regardless of seed or fertiliser granule size.

Filling auger
Optional filling auger simplifies loading the double-chamber hopper and is suitable for filling through the rear dispensing window of a semi-trailer.

Control & calibration
ISOBUS connectivity with BEDNAR EASY CONTROL software enables intuitive operation. FARM LINK mobile app assists calibration and metering roller selection.

Tyres & transport
Large flotation tyres 710/50 R26.5 reduce soil pressure and prevent tracking. Transport width does not exceed 3 m.

Seeding configurations (details)
Tab 1 – Seed and fertiliser placed together in the row; mixing occurs in the delivery pipe. Two seed types can be used; both hopper chambers may contain the same seed. Option to shut off half working width in double distribution head configuration.
Tab 2 – Seed with fertiliser every second row; two seed types can be sown at different depths; no half-width switch-off in this configuration.
Tab 3 – Seed placed by seed coulter; fertiliser placed under and slightly to the side by the fertiliser coulter; seed A and seed B placements are distinct.
