The first highly automated cleaning robot developed specifically for rearing and laying aviaries In co-operation with Envirologic, a Swedish company with more than 20 years of experience with fully automatic cleaning robots, Big Dutchman has developed Sharky 430, the world’s first autonomous cleaning robot for rearing and laying aviaries. During development, special attention was paid to designing the cleaning arm. Its many degrees of freedom make the arm highly flexible so it can reach areas that are normally difficult to access, such as the nest or inner troughs. Sharky 430 senses components of the aviary system for contactless orientation, i.e. guide rails are not necessary. The robot can be used around the clock, even at night, without human intervention. Status messages are automatically sent to a mobile phone. •much less time required for cleaning due to the high degree of automation; •no more strenuous manual work; •very good cleaning results: improved hygiene in the house; •economical use of water to save resources; •accurate and easy programming for the specific aviary type; •compact design: easy to use even in narrow aisles; •ideally suited for an aviary height of up to 4.30 m; •cordless operation with a battery; •water temperatures of up to 80 °C; •pre-installed cleaning programs for Big Dutchman aviaries.
