Description

ERO applied for a patent on its shoot binder in 1974 and was the first supplier to successfully mechanize the time-intensive work of binding vineyard shoots. Ever since their introduction to the market in 1978, several thousand ERO shoot binders have been sold. Today our shoot binders are still based on the basic operating principal of gently straightening the shoots with twin augers. However, details in its design have been improved over the years. How you benefit -Breakback protection is standard in all our ERO shoot binder models. -Our shoot binders feature weight shifting to facilitate handling even on slopes. -The floating suspension with damper ensures optimal row guidance. -The angle and distance from the foliage wall and height spacing of the twine to the auger can be adjusted. -Two different auger lengths allow the shoot binder to be adjusted for various foliage wall heights and vineyard types. -An end plate is screw-connected and prevents faulty stapling. -Because the vines are held in place by twine, the ERO shoot binder can be used without further modification in vineyards with simple wire trellising. No binding wires or double wires are required. -Available as an option, the top cutter takes the place of the first leaf trimming. -An additional operation such as mulching with a rear-mounted attachment can be performed at the same time. -After the harvest the binding twine can be easily removed with a wire reel. -Mechanical binding saves considerable time during winter pruning and subsequent stripping. -The ERO shoot binder has a rugged, long-lasting design featuring a distortion-free double-shell square tube frame and stable auger suspension.
