Description

UltraSweep is a product family of enzymatic additives (variants C4 and E2) designed for biogas plants to prevent floating layers and foam, improve mixing/agitability and accelerate decomposition of fiber-rich substrates.

UltraSweep C4 – For floating substrates
UltraSweep C4 is specialised for substrates prone to floating. It combines fiber-degrading enzymes and surface-active agents to accelerate wetting of floating particles so they sink rapidly in the fermenter, facilitating enzymatic primary breakdown of plant fibers. Effectiveness is documented in laboratory tests and confirmed in field applications.

UltraSweep E2 – Foam and deposit control
UltraSweep E2 is formulated to combat foam and deposits. It contains surface-active substances and an enzyme targeting dead microbial biomass, reducing surface tension in the liquid phase, preventing protein-rich foam formation and inhibiting biofilm development.

UltraSweep E2 – Application areas (cleaning system components)
  • heating elements
  • pump lines
  • tank walls

  • Prevents foam formation in the fermenter
  • Promotes breakdown of microbial biomass
  • Fights formation of biofilms
  • Reduces deposits on tank surfaces and in pipelines

Characteristics / Specifications
  • Product family: UltraSweep (variants C4 for floating substrates; E2 for foam and deposit control)
  • Active principle: C4 — fiber-degrading enzymes + surface-active agents; E2 — surface-active substances + enzyme targeting dead microbial biomass
  • Main functions: prevents floating layers, improves mixing/agitability, accelerates fiber decomposition, reduces foam and deposits, inhibits biofilm formation
  • Dosage: very low dosing rates; demand-driven dosing based on organic dry matter (oTS)
  • Process suitability: pH-optimized for biogas processes
  • Operational benefits: sustained biological availability; long-term protection against sulfide precipitation; minimal trace element load in digestate
  • Safety/classification: lowest hazard classification level
