OverviewMonobloc stainless steel trough of approximately 250 litres designed to distribute warm water from a milk pre-cooler: tempered water (≈17°C) appreciated by dairy cows. A milk pre-cooler saves energy on the milk tank but requires at least 1.5 litres of water to cool 1 litre of milk. The DAIRYNOX 250 valorises this water and reduces animals' thermoregulation effort, supporting milk production.
Main features- Very rigid monobloc stainless steel chassis tank with double inward-folded rim for anti-waste, reversible left/right.
- Usable capacity: 250 litres.
- Large drain Ø100 mm with integrated overflow (2 holes Ø27 mm) for easy evacuation and piping.
- Bulkhead plug Ø 1"¼ allowing pairing of a second DAIRYNOX 250 if required.
- Optional tapware Ref. A631 to convert the DAIRYNOX 250 into a classic drinking trough (when pre-cooled water is exhausted, mains water takes over).
Use and benefitsWater leaving a milk pre-cooler has lost 15 to 25°C in contact with milk and is tempered to about 17°C (ideal drinking temperature for dairy cows, especially in winter). Tempered water encourages higher water and forage intake and helps limit drops in milk yield (manufacturer-cited study references).
InstallationThe DAIRYNOX 250 must be installed on legs (galvanized legs kit Ref. D201 supplied separately). Dispatch time indicated by the seller: J+5.
