On-farm feed production by CABI For over 20 years, CABI has supported farmers to make their own feed on their farm. With the CABI on-farm feed mill, you can make your own feed by using your own cereal production and adding supplements of your choice. This allows you to manage your own formulas to suit your livestock and the growth of your animals, as well as being sure of the quality of all the components of the feed you are feeding them. The CABI on-farm feed factory is suitable for all types of rearing (poultry, ducks, sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, etc.) and all types of use. Our team will help you choose the right production tool (flaker or grinder) depending on your production and the type of feed you would like to produce. For example: the flaker just flattens the feed so it is advisable to use it with ruminants. The grinder, on the other hand, breaks up the grain to a greater or lesser degree of coarseness (more or less coarse grit), resulting in a finer product, which is more suitable for poultry or pigs. In addition to the feed factory, CABI can supply you with CABI storage silos (indoor or outdoor grain silos) to store your raw material or finished product. CABI can also offer distribution augers (rigid or flexible) to feed the factory or to distribute the feed to a buffer storage, belts, milking robot, milking parlour, etc. The CABI feed mill consists of: • A 750-litre reception hopper • A manufacturing tool: Flaker (Ruminants) or Grinder (Pigs and poultry) • A 1,200-litre horizontal mixer with a double counter-rotating spiral and a hatch for adding supplements
