OverviewThe NEWTON seed drill is designed to address wheel-track damage from rubber-tyred tractors by using a front soil preparer placed ahead of the coulter bars.
Front preparer operation- The front preparer eliminates the need for an extra pre-seeding pass.
- During seeding the preparer depth can be set to remove weeds and level soil damaged by tractor wheels.
- The preparer working depth is independent from the coulter depth.
Stability and geometryThe spacing between the depth wheels is greater than the tractor track width, providing increased stability during operation and reducing the effect of discontinuities left by tractor tracks.
Closing system (PATENTED SYSTEM)For closing the NEWTON the coulter-bar is hydraulically divided into three sections: the two outer sections rotate 90° then lift, together with the center section, aligning alongside the hopper and leaving room for the horizontal rotation of the preparer semi-frames.
Features / Technical specifications- Front preparer with adjustable depth for weed control and soil levelling.
- Preparer depth independent from coulter depth.
- Wider spacing between depth wheels than the tractor for greater stability.
- Patented closing system with coulter-bar split into three parts and hydraulic actuation.
- Also available in a version without preparer (variant indicated in the product documentation).
