To determine the number of minutes per air changes, use the following formula. Number of cubic feet in room / CFM of fan = Minutes per air change EXAMPLE: For a room 10’ x 10’ x 10’ using a fan with a 360 CFM on high speed and a 300 CFM on low speed would have the following minutes per air change. High speed: 10 x 10 x 10 / 360 = 2.7 min per air change Low speed: 10 x 10 x 10 / 300 = 3.3 min per air change From this chart, you would select a fan that is rated at 4000 C.F.M. at 1/8” S.P.
