Product overviewComfort Udder Care is a spray for goat and sheep udders formulated with essential oils and natural ingredients. It is designed to soften udder tissue, reduce swelling and support local blood circulation. The formula penetrates beyond the superficial skin layer for targeted action.
Main benefits- Quick spray application without need for massaging
- Softer, more supple udders and teats
- Calmer animals at milking
- No milk withdrawal period after use
- Treated animals are easy to identify when using the green marking variant
Features of the green variantThe green variant contains a dye that leaves a visible mark on the udder until the next milking, facilitating identification of treated animals in farms with multiple staff members.
How to use Udder Care- Ensure the udder is clean and free of manure before application for optimal uptake.
- Around birth: spray the entire udder for 4 days, 2 times per day.
- For nursing support during lactation: spray the udder for 4 days, 2 times per day.
- Application method: spray in a steady top-to-bottom motion, 2–3 sprays per section.
Why around birthApplication around birth helps prevent swollen udders and teats, maintains tissue suppleness and reduces discomfort for the doe or ewe during milking or when lambs/kids are suckling.
Costs and yieldA full treatment is 4 days, twice daily over the entire udder. Average cost per goat/sheep is approximately €2–€3. A 500 ml bottle provides about 20 full treatments.
IngredientsContains, among other components, natural ingredients such as essential oils, turmeric and oregano. Formulated for deep-acting natural care.
Results and study dataOn-farm trial results showed significant reductions in somatic cell counts (example: reduction of approx. 482,000 SCC in one trial group). In the described trial, about 89% of animals returned to normal conductivity or health signal ranges after treatment with Udder Care; chronic or non-responding animals were excluded from the protocol.
Mastitis, edema and differentiationThe information differentiates udder edema from mastitis, provides diagnostic cues (e.g. finger-press test for edema), and describes clinical and subclinical forms of udder inflammation with consequences for production and quality. Recommended measures include massage, warm compresses and use of Udder Care around birth as a preventive/supportive measure.
