Plastic mulch layer STP series

The process of covering the seedbeds with a plastic film, is considered today among the most functional and ecological passive methods for weed control. It has many advantages because it helps keeping the soil dry and crop safe by regulating the soil temperature, humidity, structure and microbial activity. Cosmeco mulch layers were developed exactly for this purpose: simplify and speed up the soil-covering process both with plastic or agricultural unwoven fabrics. Cosmeco mulch layers are very straightforward and easy-to-use. They speed up and simplify the process of covering the cultivated soil with plastic films or agricultural nonwoven fabrics. The mulch layer frame sustains the film reel which is gradually unrolled through a series of wheels, that gently carry downwards the film, then when it finally reaches the ground two disks, placed on each side of the plastic mulch layer back, secure it down by covering it up its edges with some of the previously turned-over soil. Our mulch layers are extremely effective both in open field and greenhouses. Moreover, since they are adjustable both in height and width, they are able to accomplish their task on any type of working surface: be it plane or uneven (for example when there are seedbeds of different sizes). Anyway, these machines most interesting aspect is their versatility. Our mulch layers can, in fact, be directly attached to a tractor and operate independently, or work alongside our very own bedformers, thus obviating to many additional steps and considerably reducing the time it takes to get your field ready for the season.
