The ProFoss™ 2 Butter provides direct and continuous measurements, helping you to improve your yield and profit in butter production. How it works
Continuous flow of analysis data with real-time measurements. Each measurement is composed of high-frequency sub-scans to capture fluctuations minute by minute. Measurements use near infrared transmittance with a patented 3rd generation lateral transmittance probe positioned lengthwise in the process pipe to measure from the core of the material, enabling deep penetration and avoiding surface moisture interference. Multipoint solutions support monitoring across multiple production lines for consistent performance.

Yield and profit improvement
Example: with a butter price of Euro 3.10 and a yearly production of 4,500 tons, a moisture increase of 0.3% yields Euro 50,000 per year. By shifting production targets closer to specifications, production costs can be decreased and product consistency increased.

Service and validation
FOSS offers SmartCare™ service capabilities for uptime, remote calibration monitoring and proactive maintenance to secure consistent results. Performance validation allows ProFoss™ 2 predictions to be validated using FOSS benchtop analysers (e.g. FoodScan 2) as reference without manual data entry; matched results are saved for evaluation and reporting using digital services.
