Overview
The cow rubber waterbed is completely different from ordinary cow mats. When a dairy cow lies down, the water pillow in front cushions her knees. Once she settles into a comfortable place, the water bed allows her body to relax. Research shows that dairy cows spend approximately 12–14 hours a day lying down to rest. A waterbed functions much like a professional hospital bed, moving with the cow’s body to prevent pressure sores. As the cow lies down, water flows toward her lighter areas, namely her hocks, knees, and udder, and the bed moves with her skin, thereby preventing ulcers.

Installation & maintenance
Place the waterbed on a flat, clean base (straw or mattress underlay as required). Fill to the recommended water level to allow sufficient movement of the water pillow. Inspect seals and welds before use and after any mechanical impact. Clean with mild detergent; avoid sharp tools and contact with abrasive surfaces. Repair kits are available for localised leaks.

Designed for dairy housing: freestall barns, calving pens, transition areas and any lying area where pressure distribution and animal comfort are required.
