LightningROD™ is a family of rugged RFID readers and accessories designed for livestock identification and herd management. Developed and manufactured by I.D.ology in the USA, the LightningROD™ series emphasizes durability, fast and accurate reads, and integration with herd management systems.

Compatibility & Operation
LightningROD™ readers are compatible with I.D.ology PELIT® tags and ISO-compliant 11784/11785 tags. All LightningROD™ models support wireless data transfers to Android mobile devices, PDAs, laptops, and tablets. The Handy Reader PT-280 features an IP65 water-resistant casing for typical farm conditions.

Battery & Power
The Handy Reader PT-280 runs up to 24 hours on a full charge. LightningROD™ models are designed for long life with approximately 15 hours continuous performance between charges and can be recharged with the LightningROD™ Charger.
